HI Kirk, as Precision Door service is the highest rated company in quality of customer service and quality of work, we believe transparency is always important for our readers. From working with you, we may be able to fill in the gaps of your review for our readers to have better understanding of your experience working with us so far. On 7/17/24 you agreed to move forward with a door install that we quoted out for you. On 8/22/24 we came out to install this door, and as accurately mentioned in your review, our installers noticed and pointed out a pretty big scratch on the door from the manufacturer. It was agreed on this day that we would come back and touch it up. While we were waiting on the manufacture to send us touch up paint, you had called us and scheduled for us to come out on 8/28 to have a closer look at the door as more scratches were discovered. All in all we reported 41 scratches on the door, and the locations of these scratches point towards these scratches happening at the manufacturer. We contacted the manufacturer, and they confirmed the scratches most likely happened under their care, and not by our installers. Because no gashes or dents were discovered in this inspection, the manufacture communicated to us that their protocols first wants to touch up the door to see if the scratches are still noticeable to the human eye. We communicated this would not effect the limited lifetime warranty you have on the paint. It was then expressed to Dan that you had wanted a new door. Because we are following the manufacturers protocol, we first must touch up the door to see if this solves the scratches to the paint that were found. This was communicated by Dan our manager. You then said you wanted time to think about this, and speak to an attorney, and that you would reach back out to us. We told you we understood, and that we are going to move forward with getting the paint so we are not wasting any time. We have not heard from you since, This review you have left us is the first time we have heard from you since being at your home on 8/28. Which leaves us a bit confused. Here at Precision Door we have a reputation that we are committed to keeping. As of right now, we are following the manufacturers protocols on how they want to resolve their mistake. If touching up the door resolves the issue as it does 99% of the time. Our hope is that everyone will be happy. If you are still unsatisfied after we touch up the door. Then we can fight to get you panel replacements. But we will be following the manufacturers protocol, as we also will strive to make sure you are satisfied with the completed project. If you would like to discuss more, you can reach me by email @ ehesling@precisiondoor.net

Your prices are much higher than your competitors in this area. I decided to go with someone else. Also I was unable to get an estimate over the phone therefore I had to pay a $79 service fee to just say no. I feel that this practice is detrimental to the consumer and I will not be calling or recommending your company to friends or family.

Not much confidence in the service guy we had. Told us we needed the springs replaced as the ones we had were too big. Having 2nd thoughts on having him do the replacements and paid over $600 dollars . He couldn’t figure out the garage door opener and said we should replace that as well. We did not. . Will not use Precision the future.

Worker were on time. They were at my place to give an estimate on raising the track and door closer to the ceiling. They were there over an hour and were unable to provide an estimate. After talking to them I was advised that they would email to me later that day. Well over 24 hours went by. I called regarding the estimate. I was told that they will look into it and have an estimate sent by email. I waited over an hour still no response. I two other companies out and received estimates on the spot. I eventually gave up with not receiving an estimate so I called them back and told them I went with another company. Sorry to say I wouldn’t recommend this company poor service and communication.

One star only because there is no choice for zero star. Do not label your company as offering an opener repair service. Not true. You are only interested in selling new installations. Your "repair man" refused to even try to diagnose what was wrong or make any attempt to service the opener. It was strictly a receiver coding error which I discovered and corrected myself. Thanks for nothing.

Thank you for the review Nick! For transparency to our readers and to explain in more detail of your particular service. We could not service your 50 + year old motor because it did not meet modern day building code requirements. Due to the fact that it had no safety eyes. Building code UL 325 prohibits any company to service a motor without up to date safety features. Had your motor had these feature we would have loved to been able to offer a repair solution to get you taken care of. But do to this fact, we protect ourselves by abiding in local, state, and federal laws. Now you being a home owner you can fix the motor yourself. Which I am glad to hear you were able to take care of the issue. But there was nothing more we could have done for you, with the exception of replacing the motor with one that meets up to date safety requirements. With that said, to be penalized with a poor rating for following state and federal code is not something in which I may agree with. Nonetheless I appreciate your feedback, and if you would like to discuss more of your experience, please feel free to contact me on my cell at 717-440-6555. Kindest regards,

Do not go to precision, they are just money makers. I paid $60 for them to look at my door to tell me my cost to get it fixed. Lets just say it was outrageous. I called a few local companies who did the exact same job with the same repair parts for less than half the cost. DO NOT waste your money here

Hello Allison, I am sorry to hear you feel this way about Precision Door. I am happy to learn that your issue has been taken care of. I took a look at your invoice that I have on file to see if there is anything unusual, and I did not see anything out of the ordinary. Everything looks to be accurately quoted. Precision Door, we are confident that we bring value to every dollar spent, with our quality craftsmanship, fast response time, quality parts, and customer service. While looking at your quote, and cost of material, I am confident there may be some significant differences between what Precision quoted you for, and the work you received from the other company. I will submit a refund of the service fee back onto your card. If you would like to discuss more estimate, please feel free to give myself a call at 717-440-6555.

I spent a lot of time providing feedback to you but since I neglected to select a star rating it wiped all my feedback out...therefore my rating...nothing to do with your service.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! We just had a new garage door installed by Precision Garage Door. The installers pointed out to us that there was a large scratch of about 4-5” on the door. After looking closer, we found 41 scratches and or nicks, some quite large. I want a new door. Dan, their service guy wants to only “touch up” (41 different areas) the scratches with paint. Not acceptable whatsoever, and unfortunately, I’ve had to get a lawyer. I know no one that would be happy with a brand new door with 41 unacceptable scratches and nicks? Extremely poor customer service and backing of a product that they sold and installed. It’s a matter of principal now. I can not believe that I even have to fight for a new door that is defective in 41 areas.
