Technician was great, labor charge plus trip charge were excessive. I would do a better job researching next time service is required

Benji (my technician) was great - but what is very upsetting is that it was less than a year ago that I spent close to $3000.00 for a new garage door. The rollers had to be replaced because they were defective - why would you use rollers of such low quality. Benji said that the upgraded roller and spring package should have been offered to me at the time of the sale. I don't recall that they were but even if they were - why would Precision even put something of that quality on the door to begin with. Based on Benji recommendation I had him replace the rollers and spring to hopefully ensure that there would be no further issues. Having to spent another $400.00 was not in my budget - I am on a fixed income. When I replaced the garage door last November it was my expectation that I would not need to have any service or spend anymore money for a really long time.

Hello Lorraine, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! I want to bring light to surface for our viewers this way our readers can have full transparency. Benji is an excellent tech who is very thorough as you have experienced. Here at Precision Door we use top of the line brands for our door installs. Your specific order had a 3 year warranty on the manufactured parts. They are not, "such low quality" parts. They are the same quality parts that every company in our service area uses. These are the parts the manufacturer gives to dealers when we buy their door. 1-2 springs, 2 cables, 2 drums, 3 bearings, and 10 rollers. Precision Door is however the only company that offers a high cycle package when buying a door for as low as $400.00 with a 10 year warranty. When servicing a door, which is what the services we provided and the service you are reviewing about. The prices to replace all these parts are higher. Benji did give you the option to replace these parts under warranty for only the price of our service fee of $79.00 To which you declined this option, and decided to move forward with the parts upgrade. To which we honored the pricing as if it was originally purchased with the door, as well as honored the 10 year warranty from Sept 2023, and not November 2022 (originally install date). This way, you would not have been charged any more then when you originally purchased the door. We understand the manufactured parts failing while under warranty is not what you or us expected, we did offer to cover the parts under warranty and we were instructed by you to move forward with the parts upgrades for the original cost. We called at 8am and serviceman arrived about 10:15! Very impressed with that. The repair of door was done well. The serviceman was pleasant & answered our questions. Besides having a door repaired we had 4 doors serviced which we were told meant lubricating, tightening bolts, and aligning. There was a charge of $100 per door. Each door took less than 15 minutes each & aligning was putting a finger up to check if it was level or something like that. That service was way overpriced.

I was scheduled for a service call very quickly. Zach the service technician diagnosed the problem very quickly and fixed in less than an hour. He also inspected the door and explained every item with me. Very good visit overall until…….after he left I looked the parts up online. Precision charged $200 for the parts and they are available on Amazon for $17. Total gouging by this company. I understand they have to make some money off the parts but that’s a little ridiculous.

I did not like that Dan Madison entered my attached garage first without first knocking on my door to introduce himself ! I only knew of his arrival after hearing of noise in the garage ! Very disappointed in his lack of professionalism. I will be sure to include this to whomever inquiries of the work that was done by Precision.

Hi Rose, We are very sorry we left you with this impression. Usually when the garage door is open, our technicians will meet our customers in the garage as opposed to the front door. I spoke with Dan about this, he mentioned to me, that he had to knock on the garage man door twice for you to answer. That may have been the noise you could have been hearing. Either way, we understand that entering through the garage instead of the front door made you feel uncomfortable. Dan had also mentioned to me that you had confronted him about this already, and by the time he left, he was under the impression that you and him were doing rather well.
