We were interested in seeing if installing new garage doors would help to keep the garage from heating up so much in the summer. Jeremy assessed the doors, which though older, were well insulated and in good condition. He told us that we wouldn't feel much difference with new doors, and would be better off installing an air conditioner in the window. We were grateful for his honesty, which saved us from spending money needlessly. While he was here, we got an estimate for a new garage door opener, which we definitely will need shortly! We called Precision Garage Door Service early on a Monday morning because our very old garage door had finally stopped working, just as we had to leave on a trip to Vermont. We were happily surprised that they could send an employee, Jerry Edlreth, to look over the situation in just a few hours! Soon after Jerry arrived, he sent us photographs and began explaining to us what went wrong and what he could do to fix it. He carefully explained the various options we had, and when we made our decision, he spent the next several hours doing exactly what we wanted. He was very kind, friendly, and professional throughout the day--even though our garage is not air conditioned and the temperature was near 100 degrees! I had a broken garage door spring. When I called Precision I got a live person which he was very nice and professional. He collected all of my information and offered to have a technician come out the same day. Our schedule was busy that day but he offered a technician would be available the next morning. I got text and email appointment confirmations and what technician would be there. Blake our technician called to let us know he was on his way and he arrived on time. Blake diagnosed our problem very quickly and offered his assessment of our door which everything has been original since we have been in our home. He explained the different options for repairs and the warranties that come with each option. We decided to have the door overhauled with new springs, rollers, drums, pulleys, and bearings. After Blake had repaired the door it ran 100% better and smoother and the door opener didn’t sound like it was struggling to lift the door. Blake had all this done in about 2 hours and our door was back in service. He also left our garage cleaned up and checked to make sure we were happy with the work. I would definitely recommend precision door service to anyone looking for a garage door service company and I would use them again for service.
